For a UAV, more battery capacity does not automatically mean more useful flight time. Every extra gram becomes part of the aircraft payload, so battery selection has to balance energy, weight, discharge capability and mission duration.
HSS Energy supplies UAV batteries for mapping, inspection, industrial and agricultural drone projects. Common platforms include 6S, 8S, 12S and 14S, with capacities typically from 12Ah to 40Ah. Semi-solid soft-pack technology is the main route for this category. Our UAV Batteries series includes products such as the 14S 105Ah UAV Battery, the 14S 72000mAh UAV Battery, and so on.

Typical projects use 6S, 8S, 12S or 14S platforms with capacities from 12Ah to 40Ah and discharge capability from about 3C to 50C. The motor, ESC, maximum take-off weight, payload and real flight profile should determine the final battery specification.

Higher C-rate is not automatically better Mapping and inspection UAVs may benefit more from higher energy density, while heavier industrial or agricultural aircraft may require stronger current delivery. |
For many UAV projects, reducing battery weight while maintaining useful energy is one of the most direct ways to extend mission capability. HSS Energy primarily uses soft-pack semi-solid battery technology for this category.
Depending on the cell system and pack design, project energy density can range from approximately 240Wh/kg to 500Wh/kg. Higher energy density still needs to be balanced against discharge current, thermal behavior, pack structure and vibration resistance.
· Common main-power connectors: XT60 / XT90
· Cable gauge and length matched to the approved current requirement
· Connector position and polarity reviewed against the aircraft layout
· Pack dimensions and cable orientation can be customized for fixed battery bays or mounting structures
Standard UAV packs are generally supplied without CAN, RS485, Bluetooth or an integrated charger. Custom voltage, capacity, discharge capability, dimensions and connection layout can be reviewed around the actual aircraft.
Representative models include:
· 6S 16000mAh UAV Battery
· 6S 22000mAh UAV Battery
· 8S 40000mAh UAV Battery
These are selected examples, not the full product range. Other 6S, 8S, 12S and 14S configurations can be customized according to the aircraft, payload, required flight time, discharge demand, available battery space, target weight and connector layout.
· flight time needs to increase without excessive battery weight
· the UAV carries cameras, LiDAR, spraying equipment or other payloads
· the aircraft requires a specific 12S or 14S voltage platform
· battery dimensions are restricted by the airframe
· motor and ESC require higher continuous or peak current
· cable direction or connector position must match an existing aircraft design
