215kWh Energy Storage Battery

HSS Energy supplies the 215kWh Energy Storage Battery for commercial project quotations, volume orders and OEM or ODM programs. The system uses fifteen 51.2V 280Ah high-voltage LiFePO4 battery units connected in series, giving a calculated nominal voltage of 768V and nominal energy of 215.04kWh. The modular battery units are installed in an IP55 outer cabinet for solar self-consumption, peak-shaving work and backup of selected loads. Before an order is released, our team checks the PCS or inverter DC window, communication protocol, required power, site conditions and local grid requirements. The final build, document package and delivery scope follow the technical specification agreed for the actual project.

HSS Energy prepares the China 215kWh Energy Storage Battery for energy-storage integrators, installers, distributors and engineering buyers who need a high-voltage battery package with a clear technical boundary. It is not simply fifteen modules placed in a cabinet: series voltage, master BMS logic, DC protection, communication, cabling, thermal design and PCS or inverter matching must be reviewed as one system. Buyers can send a single-line diagram, equipment model and load profile to receive a configuration review and formal quotation.

Parameter boundary: 215.04kWh, 768V, 696–864V and approximately 1,533kg are calculated references based on fifteen catalog units. Complete-cabinet dimensions, assembled weight, continuous power, fire protection and thermal management remain subject to the project technical specification.

1. A 15-Series Architecture Starts with the DC Voltage Window

This 215kWh battery energy storage system connects fifteen battery units in series. Capacity remains 280Ah while voltage rises with the series count, producing a calculated operating range of 696–864V. Selection should begin with the PCS or inverter maximum DC input, battery voltage window, charge and discharge current limits, pre-charge sequence and protection coordination. For each 215kWh Energy Storage Battery project, HSS Energy records the series arrangement, device addresses, interface definition and permitted operating limits in the approved technical specification rather than selecting equipment from the capacity label alone.

2. Matching the PCS or Inverter

An energy high voltage storage system is matched by more than nominal voltage. CAN or RS485 protocol, frame version, address rules, alarm linkage and power-control logic also need to agree. HSS Energy can review specific models from Deye, Solis, Afore, Growatt, FOX ESS and Megarevo. Compatibility is confirmed by exact model and protocol version; it is not assumed for every product carrying the same brand name.

3. IP55 Cabinet and Modular Battery Layout

The LiFePO4 energy storage cabinet brings the fifteen modules, master controller, DC protection, bus connections and related accessories into one enclosure. The outer cabinet is rated IP55, while the individual catalog battery unit is rated IP20; these two ratings should not be treated as interchangeable. Cable entries, ventilation or temperature-control equipment, maintenance clearance and the site foundation are checked against ambient temperature, dust, rain exposure and local installation requirements.

4. Commercial Operating Scenarios

A commercial battery storage system may support solar self-consumption, time-of-use shifting, peak shaving, selected-load backup and microgrid projects. The useful operating result depends on the load profile, usable energy, PCS power, solar generation and control strategy. For a meaningful quotation, buyers should provide recent consumption data, critical loads and the problem the system is expected to solve. Grid-connected operation, off-grid transfer or generator coordination must also be reviewed by the system integrator against the local protection and distribution scheme.

5. BMS, Communication and Operating Boundaries

The battery units provide CAN, RS485 and RS232 interfaces, and the master controller consolidates module status for the upper-level equipment. A matching connector does not prove protocol compatibility, so the equipment model, protocol file and communication test method are confirmed before production. The catalog lists 140A recommended current and 200A maximum current, while also noting the influence of temperature and SOC. Continuous system power is therefore set together with cabinet thermal management, cabling, protection devices and PCS limits.

6. Customization, Production Control and Compliance Evidence

A BESS battery energy storage system normally moves through drawing review, BOM confirmation, cabinet layout, protocol matching, label approval and first-article verification before batch production. HSS Energy was established in 2023, and its partners bring more than ten years of lithium-battery industry experience. Multiple production bases in China cover about 12,000m² in total, with laser welding, automated assembly, aging tests and outgoing inspection supporting batch and OEM or ODM projects. The review package supplied for this page includes a CE EMC Certificate of Conformity, a RoHS Certificate of Conformity and an IEC 62619 test report. Document scope and final applicability are checked against the ordered configuration.

7. Packaging, Delivery and After-Sales Handover

The fifteen battery units have an approximate combined net weight of 1,533kg before the cabinet, controller, cables and accessories are included. Unloading equipment, transport split, access route and final placement should therefore be agreed before shipment. Packaging is prepared for the confirmed sea or road route, destination, labels and document list. After delivery, HSS Energy provides the manual and technical files that correspond to the ordered configuration. Detailed wiring, commissioning, alarm handling and maintenance procedures remain in the operating manual so the online product page stays practical and easy to read.

FAQ

1. Why is the system called 215kWh?

Fifteen 51.2V 280Ah units produce a calculated nominal energy of 215.04kWh, so the product is presented in the 215kWh capacity class.

2. Can it connect directly to any Deye, Solis or Growatt inverter?

No. Brand name alone is not enough. Please provide the exact model, DC voltage range, current limit and protocol version so both sides can complete a compatibility review.

3. Does IP55 apply to each battery module?

IP55 refers to the outer cabinet. The individual 51.2V 280Ah unit is listed as IP20 in the catalog. Cable entries and thermal-management design must also meet the actual site conditions.

4. Can the fifteen modules be changed from series to parallel?

This page describes a high-voltage series system. A parallel arrangement would change voltage, current, control, protection and equipment matching, and therefore requires a separate design.

5. Which compliance documents are available?

The supplied review set includes CE EMC and RoHS conformity documents plus an IEC 62619 test report. Transport files and the exact document scope are confirmed for the final order configuration.

6. What information is needed for a quotation?

Please provide target power, main loads, PCS or inverter model, operating scenario, installation environment, quantity, destination country, required documents and expected delivery date.

Project enquiry: When sourcing a 215kWh Energy Storage Battery, send the PCS or inverter brand and model, system power, major loads, site environment, communication requirement, quantity, destination and required documents. HSS Energy will use this information to verify the 15-series voltage window, cabinet configuration, protocol matching, delivery file set and quotation.
